Finding Tickets on eBay
|
- Search for Tickets. From the Tickets Home
Page, type keyword(s) into the search box to find listings for the event you want
tickets for. For example, if you want to search for U2 tickets, simply type "U2" in the search box while
keeping your search constrained to "Tickets".

- Sort the Listings. Use the Tickets Product Finder, to easily find specific tickets by filtering by
Event Type, Event Location and/or Event Date. Use the "search keywords" to combine search terms with the product finder to pinpoint the best set of
listings.

|
- To narrow your search to either Auction listings or Buy It Now listings, click on the appropriate tabs at the
top of any search results page.
|
|
- Finally, look for quick links to popular events in the Hot Sports Tickets and Hot
Concerts sections of the Tickets Home Page. These sections are located along the left side of the page.

Learning More About the Seller and the Tickets
|
- Use the feedback ratings and view the Member Profile to get to information about the ticket seller. This is an
important tool that provides you with a clear history of items that a seller has sold, and the experiences buyers have
had. Carefully review feedback left from past transactions, as eBay's Community is generally very responsible, honest
and self-regulating. While having a lower rating is not bad, be careful as to the ratio of positive feedback as share
of overall feedback (should be around 97-100%).

- Read the item descriptions for tickets closely - The description is the seller's chance to discuss all there
is to know about the tickets being sold (you can find out such things as the seat locations and specific event
details). Most sellers also include the venue name in the listing, which will link to the venue map. The venue map
allows you to see where a particular section is in the venue.

- Do Research! Be familiar with the event venue and the ticket pricing structure before buying.
|
|
- Search "Completed Items" to see how much similar tickets have sold for in the past 14 days on eBay to get a
sense for the current market values. Also, check out Marketplace Research, a great resource for researching
buying and selling trends on eBay.

|
- If you have any question that isn't covered in the description, contact the seller by using the "Ask seller a
question" link at the top of the listing -- don't wait until the end of the auction.

|
- For high priced tickets, look for a scan or digital photo showing the item and preferably
the proof of authenticity.
|
|
- If the tickets and prices look too good to be true, they probably are.

Paying For Tickets

- After you've won or purchased your tickets, send your payment to the seller. If the seller offers PayPal,
clicking on the Pay Now button will allow you to pay quickly and easily with PayPal, eBay's preferred way to pay. Just
check the seller's listing or email invoice to find out what the preferred payment method is and where you should send
your payment.

Because tickets purchases are time sensitive, using a secure and instant online payment service like PayPal
is recommended to give you ample time to get the tickets in your hands.

Isn't it illegal to resell tickets online?

- No. This is a commonly believed myth. Some states regulate the resale of event tickets for venues located in

What if the game is cancelled or never takes place - how do fans get a refund?

- A ticket is a ticket - all tickets should be subject to the same return and refund policies, but it is up to
the buyer and seller to agree on terms.
